Enjoyed here.

Our beers and cider are brewed on site in Myalup. So when you settle in at Old Coast Road, the brewery is part of the place you’ve come to enjoy.

A table on the deck, a lunch with friends and a glass of something local. That’s a good way to get to know us.

A LITTLE BREWING KNOW-HOW

How a beer
comes together.

A simple introduction to the usual beer-making journey. The recipe, style and brewing choices give each beer its own character.

  1. Begin with the ingredients.

Water, malted grain, hops and yeast are the foundations. The grain brings colour and body; hops bring bitterness and aroma.

  2. Find the sweetness.

Crushed malt meets warm water in the mash. Its starches become sugars, and the sweet liquid is separated from the grain.

  3. Bring in the hops.

The liquid is boiled, with hops added to shape bitterness and flavour. Then it is cooled, ready for yeast.

  4. Let the yeast work.

During fermentation, yeast turns sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Conditioning gives the beer time to develop before it is ready to pour.
