About this policy

This policy explains how OLD COAST ROAD BREWERY PTY LTD (ABN 29 056 255 648), trading as OLD COAST RD BREWERY, collects, uses and handles personal information when you contact us, apply for work or wholesale access, make a booking or buy from us.

Our contact details are below. You can ask us for this policy in another format or contact us before using a service if you have a question about your information.

02

Information we collect

We collect information you give us through website forms, email, telephone, bookings, applications and purchases. We ask for details relevant to the service. Required fields are identified on the form; without those details we may be unable to respond, assess an application or fulfil an order. You may contact us by phone or email if you prefer to discuss what is needed.

  • Enquiries and bookings: your name, contact details, preferences and message. Event enquiries can also include your company, proposed dates, expected attendance, ticketing plans and production requirements.
  • Wholesale: business name, ABN or ACN, contact person and position, email, phone, website, application and approval records. Account and order records may also include billing and delivery addresses, purchases, invoices, payment status and transaction references.
  • Employment: your contact details, work preferences, availability, work rights, qualifications, information you choose to share and résumé. We also record whether you ask to be considered for future opportunities.
  • Alcohol transactions: information reasonably needed to check age, purchasing authority and delivery eligibility.
  • Website use: technical information such as IP address, browser, pages visited, interactions and security or diagnostic logs.

Please do not send identification documents, payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information through a general enquiry. If you share dietary or access needs, include only information that helps us assist you. Payment details should be entered only through the payment service provided for your purchase.

03

How information is handled

We use your information to answer enquiries, discuss event proposals, manage bookings and wholesale applications, provide accounts, fulfil orders, process payments and meet business, safety and legal obligations. Our team reviews wholesale applications before approving store access. For new applicants, the application process creates a pending account that cannot sign in or order until approved.

Website forms use Elementor Pro. Submissions are stored in our website administration system, and notifications are sent to the relevant team mailbox. Contact, employment and event enquiries go to mail@ocrb.com.au; wholesale applications go to orders@ocrb.com.au. We use WooCommerce to maintain account, order and invoice-related records.

Employment applications are used to assess and discuss work opportunities. Uploaded résumés are stored with restricted administrator access, rather than as public website downloads. The team notification contains a private access link instead of a public résumé link or résumé attachment. If you select the optional future-opportunities choice, we may also consider your application for later roles; you can contact us to withdraw that choice.

Relevant information may be handled by service providers supporting our hosting, email, bookings, analytics, payments, deliveries and professional advice, or disclosed where law permits or requires it. Our website is hosted by WP Engine; Google services support email and website analytics. Payment information is handled by the payment provider shown when you pay. We do not sell or rent personal information for marketing.

Some service providers operate internationally and may process or access information outside Australia. Locations can depend on the service and account settings. Contact us if you need information about the handling location for a particular service before providing personal information.

04

Marketing & future services

Marketing choices are separate from booking, order, employment and account messages. Where a form offers email or SMS news, those choices are optional and recorded with your enquiry. Applying for work or wholesale access does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

We obtain consent for marketing messages, identify ourselves and provide an unsubscribe method. You can also contact us to change your marketing preferences. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent necessary messages about an enquiry, application, booking, account or purchase.

Brevo email marketing and Zen membership and voucher services are planned. They are not connected through these enquiry forms. We will provide relevant collection and privacy information when those services are introduced.

05

Cookies & other services

Cookies and similar technologies support security, sign-in and shopping. Browser settings let you manage or block cookies, although blocking them may affect these features.

We use Google Analytics to understand website visits and use. It can receive technical information and interactions through cookies or similar technology.

Booking, payment, video, map and social media services have their own privacy information. Embedded services may receive technical information when they load; following an external link also takes you to that provider. Check the relevant notice before giving personal details.

06

Protection & retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and restrict access according to staff responsibilities. These include administrative access controls for form submissions, wholesale records and private résumés. No online service can guarantee complete security.

Information is retained for the purpose it serves and for applicable business or legal recordkeeping requirements. Form submissions, related emails and résumés can remain in our records while an enquiry or application is being handled. Account, order, invoice and payment records may need to be kept for tax, accounting, liquor, dispute or other legal purposes. A change to wholesale access does not automatically erase earlier orders or invoices.

When information is no longer needed and no retention requirement applies, our policy is to securely delete or de-identify it. Copies may remain in restricted backups until those backups are replaced or expire. Contact us about a particular record or a deletion request; we will explain any reason it must be retained. We do not promise that every category of information is kept for the same period.

07

Access, correction & privacy concerns

Contact mail@ocrb.com.au, phone 1300 792 106 or write to our address below to request access, correction or deletion, change a marketing preference, or raise a privacy concern. Explain the information or service involved and the outcome you seek. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing records.

We will assess the request, make reasonable enquiries and explain the outcome and any applicable limitation. If you are dissatisfied, ask us to review our response. If the matter remains unresolved after we have had a reasonable opportunity to respond, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner can advise on its jurisdiction and available complaint options.
